Separate completed and remaining work
Make one list for items already packed and another for work requested from the packing team. This is clearer than asking for help with “whatever is left”.
Partial packing is useful when some items are already packed or you only need help with selected rooms, fragile items or unfinished cartons. A clear list of the remaining work makes the quotation easier to understand.
The recorded example on this page applies only to that job. Your quotation should be based on what is still unpacked, the materials required, access and the deadline.
Make one list for items already packed and another for work requested from the packing team. This is clearer than asking for help with “whatever is left”.
List kitchenware, books, ornaments, wardrobes, electronics and other items by room or type so the team can assess the work more accurately.
Show which cartons, wrapping and labels are already on site and which materials you want included in the quotation.
Share more than one angle of fragile, oversized or unusually shaped items, together with the access route they must pass through.
State whether the job ends with packed cartons, room labels or another requested step. Ask separately for unpacking if you need it.
If transport is part of the same job, include both addresses and timing. Otherwise, keep the enquiry clearly limited to packing.
You have already packed part of the home or only need help with selected rooms, fragile items or unfinished cartons.
See the full-service packing example. If transport is included, review packing with moving.
