01 / More precise than “one bed”
Move Move provides mattress disposal in Singapore for single, super single, queen and king-size mattresses, with divans and other bed-set pieces assessed when listed. Whether you are replacing one mattress or clearing a bedroom before moving out, the quotation needs the actual pieces and the route from the room.
State the size, quantity and approximate dimensions. If known, tell us whether it is spring, foam, latex, hybrid or foldable; a photo of the label can help. Show the full mattress and its condition. Thickness and construction can change handling, so acceptance is assessed from the actual item.
List the mattress and base separately. Show whether the divan is one piece or split, and whether it has drawers, legs or a separate headboard.
Show the assembled bed, fittings, headboard, slats and storage sections. Identify any lifting mechanism. Confirm the dismantling scope rather than treating it as part of a mattress-only pickup.
For mattress removal, disclose dampness, severe damage, pests or other contamination before collection is agreed. Acceptance and any preparation need to be checked; do not conceal the condition under wrapping or assume ordinary handling is suitable.
02 / Know what you are comparing
2026 ordinary-disposal reference, GST included. It includes 2–3 movers, a tailgate lorry and simple dismantling where needed. The accepted items, trolley count and final amount must be confirmed from complete photos or an item list and a written quotation.
A single, queen or king-size mattress does not have a guaranteed trolley count from its name alone. A mattress-only pickup and a mattress with a split divan, frame and headboard are different loads. Confirm the pieces, dismantling and access in the written quotation.
Separately assessed: loose-item packing, stairs, carrying heavy items over more than two doorsteps, safes or dangerous goods, condo pushing distances over 100 metres, basement pushing, lift exchange, complex dismantling and any unconfirmed scope or access condition. Do not assume these are covered by the reference rate.
To compare quotations fairly, use the same inventory and access details. Ask which dismantling and carry-out work is included, what would change the total, and which collection window has been confirmed.
Send photos and a list of the items you want removed. We assess the load, then confirm the trolley count, accepted items and any agreed dismantling or access charges in the written quotation. A missing measurement need not stop your first enquiry; tell us what you know and we will clarify what is still needed.
03 / A clear bedroom-to-lorry plan
List each mattress, divan section, frame, headboard and loose storage part. “One bed” can describe several separate objects. Keep bedding and personal belongings out of the disposal inventory unless separately agreed.
Photograph the bedroom doorway, hallway turns and lift or stairs. Share dimensions where you can measure safely. Do not force a mattress to bend or dismantle a storage mechanism just to get it through a door.
Confirm whether the base or frame needs dismantling, what preparation is required and which pieces the team will collect. Clear loose belongings from the agreed route and identify anything staying behind.
If a new mattress is arriving, confirm the old mattress collection separately. Include building work hours, lift booking and a move-out deadline; leave enough room for both appointments.
Show the route from the room to the lift, including door grilles, corridor turns and any steps. For a walk-up unit, include each staircase and landing; indoor carry-out is part of the assessment.
Check management requirements, permitted work hours, service-lift and loading-bay bookings. Tell us about basement access, lift changes and long pushing distances before the quote is agreed.
Show internal stairs, gates and the distance to a suitable loading point. A ground-floor address does not necessarily mean the item has a clear, level route out.
04 / Real handling and disposal work
At the Clemenceau Avenue North hostel, beds, wardrobes and sofas had to leave a building with no lift and a narrow staircase. Dismantling was organised upstairs and loading below, with space for one skip at a time. The practical lesson for a mattress enquiry is to show the whole bed set and access route, not just the mattress surface.

05 / Choose a workable collection option
For an HDB home, check your Town Council’s current eligibility, item limits, booking dates and collection point. Ask specifically about your mattress, indoor carry-out and dismantling. A free collection arrangement, where available, is not automatically the same scope as a private crew.
Before buying the replacement, ask whether the retailer offers removal, which items qualify and whether collection happens at the same time as delivery. Do not arrange the two appointments on the assumption that one truck does both.
If the item is reusable, seek acceptance from the recipient or donation organisation first. Confirm condition requirements and transport; an unwanted or damaged item is not automatically suitable for donation.
Consider an assessed collection when you need agreed dismantling, indoor carry-out, multiple items, awkward access or coordination with a handover. Send the complete scope for a written quotation and confirmed availability.

The relevant provider or facility holds its own licence. Item acceptance and any required records must be agreed before booking; collection does not mean every item will be recycled or donated.

Photos and an item list are the starting point. If size, condition, fixings or access are unclear, we will ask for more details before confirming the price. For a replacement delivery or urgent job, include your deadline; collection remains subject to confirmed availability.
