MOVE MOVE IN THE COMMUNITY
Giving Back: Our Clothing Donation to HOME in Singapore
Move Move Movers recently donated multiple boxes of brand-new clothing to HOME, a welfare organisation in Singapore. Our team helped with the sorting, packing and coordination, putting familiar moving skills into a practical contribution to our community.

We estimate the donated clothing had a value of approximately S$10,000–20,000.
Care beyond the everyday move
A moving box can be the start of a new chapter. In our everyday work, it may hold the belongings someone is taking to a new home or the items a business needs for its next move. On this occasion, our boxes carried brand-new clothing for a welfare organisation in the community we serve.
Moving is practical work, and it involves trust. People ask us to handle things that matter to them, often during a period of change. Paying attention to the belongings in front of us and the people behind them is part of the care we bring to our work.
That is the connection we see between our everyday work and this donation. Sorting, packing and coordinating are familiar tasks for a moving team. For this occasion, those practical skills helped us prepare clothing to give to HOME. We are glad to share that part of our story alongside the moves we carry out for customers.
Brand-new clothing, prepared with care
All the clothing in this donation was brand new. The photographs from our original update show the boxed items, including white and dark garments in clear packaging, as well as the stacked Move Move Movers cartons.
The value gives some context to the contribution, while the clothes themselves remain the heart of the story. We hope the new clothing can bring comfort to the people who receive it. That was the hope expressed in our original update, and it is the thought we want to carry forward here.

A thank-you to the team behind the boxes
The boxes in a photograph show only part of the work. Sorting, packing and coordination depend on people giving their attention to the task. We are grateful to the Move Move Movers team members who helped with those steps.
Our business is built around practical work, and this is a chance to recognise a practical contribution. Taking time to sort and pack clothing helped turn the donation into something our team could put into action. We appreciate the time, effort and care that went into it.
Care is often expressed in these ordinary details: keeping items organised, working together and following through on the task in front of us. Those habits matter in our moving work, and they matter to us when we give something back.
A welcome response
The feedback shared with us after the donation was positive. We were also glad to receive photographs in return. With permission to publish them, we can share a glimpse of that response alongside the photographs of the boxed clothing.
The photograph at the top of this story shows people looking at and holding clothing around a table. The photograph below was also shared with our team afterwards. We appreciate the feedback, and the permission that allows us to include these moments in our community story.

Moving kindness forward
“Moving to a Better Place” is the phrase behind our brand. In our daily work, it connects naturally with helping people move into a new home or take their business to a new location. It also expresses a hope for the community around us.
This clothing donation is a practical example of that idea. Our contribution involved new clothes, boxes and the effort of our team. We hope it encourages a little more thought about the ways an ordinary business can contribute to the place where it works.
Alongside advice about packing and moving, there is room in our blog to recognise care, generosity and the people who help turn an intention into an action. We are glad to make space for this part of the Move Move Movers story.
Thinking of donating clothing?
If you are considering a clothing donation of your own, start by checking your chosen organisation’s current needs and acceptance arrangements. What is useful to one organisation may be different from what another can accept.
Ask which types of clothing are needed, what condition is accepted and whether there are instructions for sorting or packing. If you have several boxes, check the collection or delivery arrangements before preparing them for transport. Follow the organisation’s guidance for labelling, collection and delivery.
A planned move can be a useful time to review the clothing in your home. Give yourself time to decide what to keep and what may be suitable to offer. Set aside only items that meet the organisation’s requirements, and keep them separate from the belongings going to your new address.
Preparing with the receiving organisation’s needs in mind is a thoughtful place to begin. Clear organisation also helps you keep track of what is being donated and what is coming with you on your move.
Thank you for being part of our community
